Neurofibromatosis is a genetic disorder in which numerous tumors are formed on the nerve tissue. These can form anywhere on the nervous system including your brain, spine or nerves. These tumors are usually benign or non-cancerous but in some cases they become malignant. It is rarely inherited and is caused by gene mutation.
Symptoms
- Harmless Neurofibromas or soft bumps on or under the skin
- Bone deformities
- Loss of hearing, learning impairment etc
- Several light brown spots on skin
- Freckles in armpits or groin
- Balance difficulties
- Pain

Treatment
